Highlander: Vengeance is an anime sequel to the cult hit movie, The Highlander. It is directed by the acclaimed Japanese director, Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust). The storyline is being written by David Abramowitz who was also the writer for the Highlander: The Series, Highlander: The Raven and upcoming Highlander: The Source.The character designs are done by Yutaka Minowa. The animation is done by Madhouse Studio and produced by Davis Panzer Productions.

The movie is set to be released in 2006.

Story

The story takes place in the future city of New York that is submerged in water starring Colin MacLeod, the immortal Scottish Highlander. With his ghost Amergan, they seeks to find Marcus Octavius who has killed Colin's lover centuries ago in the Celtic plains. Now living in a dominant fortress that towers over the sea, will MacLeod help the tortured people of New York or seek vengeance for his lovers death?
