| Home of the Brave is a 2004 film directed by Paola di Florio. It is a documentary about Viola Liuzzo, a white civil rights activist who was murdered in 1965 in Selma, Alabama, as she campaigned for black suffrage. It was nominated for the IDA Award by the International Documentary Association in 2004, the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004, and the Documentary Screenplay Award by the Writers Guild of America in 2005. The film is narrated by Stockard Channing. It is one of the films featured at the first annual Traverse City Film Festival in 2005.
