| Hood of the Living Dead is a direct to video zombie movie about a regeneration formula bringing the dead back to life. Summary: Ricky (Carl Washington) is a young scientest living in the Hoods of Oakland, with his brother Jermaine (Brandon Daniels). Ever since his parents died he has been working hard day and night at a labratory trying to perfect a regeneration formula that could heal dead cells in animals. He dissaproves of Jermaine's gangsta freinds Marco (Raul Martinez) and Kevin (Derek Taylor II)and tells him that they are moving to a safer community within the week. While out with his crew Jermaine gets threatened by some drug dealing latinos that claim that Ricky squealed on their illegal activitys. That night as Jermaine goes out, he is killed in a drive by. Ricky in a state of panic gets his co-worker Scott (Chris Angelo) bring over the regeneration formula, and injects him with an overdose. When nothing happens, Ricky gets together with Marco and Kevin and plans his revenge. Jermaine naturally comes back to life as a undead fleshmuncher and goes after his killers. From there the infection spreads the chemical spreading through the flesh wounds turns the dealers, Ricky's girlfriend, and an ambulance crew into the shuffling dead. Once Ricky realizes he's over his head he calls his boss, Dr. Richards (Victor Zargoza) and tells him of the disaster. Richards not wanting the virus to spread out of control calls a mercenary. They hunt down the remaining zombies with the mercenary getting zombified in the process. Ricky returns home with Richards who has been infected and when he is attacked by his undead boss, zombie Jermaine comes to his rescue killing the Richards-zombie. It then turns on Ricky who is forced to shoot his brother, ending the night of terror forever. Or so we think. A lone driver (Director Ed Quiroz in a brief cameo} sees the abandoned ambulance and pulls over to help. He is attacked by the undead hospital crew, thus continuing the hip-hop cycle of horror for an unlikly sequel. Directors:
