Howling IV: The Original Nightmare is a 1988 horror film that premiered on home video. It was directed by John Hough from the screenplay by Freddie Rowe and Clive Turner. Based on the novels by Gary Brandner. It stars Romy Windsor, Michael T. Weiss, Anthony Hamilton, Susanne Severeid, and Lamya Derval. 94 minutes, rated R.

Plot summary

Marie Adams, a successful author, visits the scenic woodland town of Drago with her husband Richard to find respite from constant nightmare visions involving werewolves and a mysterious nun. Needless to say, her stay in the village does nothing to dispel the visions, which increase in frequency and seem to suggest strange portions of evil events to come...and a warning to get out of town before the next full moon.

Additional information

The film bears a strong similarity to the original Howling
film (1981).
Co-writer Clive Turner also stars in the film as a tow truck driver.
The film's theme song "Something Evil, Something Dangerous" was performed by Justin Hayward.
