The plot focuses on the character Rerun van Pelt, baby brother of Linus and Lucy van Pelt, trying to convince his mother to buy him a dog for Christmas. Since she won't let him own a dog, Rerun resorts to borrowing Charlie Brown's dog, Snoopy. The hour-long special first aired on ABC in December 2003.
