Iceman was a 1984 science fiction film from Universal Studios. The screenplay was written by John Drimmer and Chip Proser, and was directed by Fred Schepisi. The cast included John Lone, Timothy Hutton, and Lindsay Crouse.

This movie received an MPAA rating of PG. It was filmed in color with Dolby sound and ran for 100 minutes. The DVD version was released in 1996.

The anthropoligist Stanley Shephard (Hutton) is brought to an arctic base when they discover the body of a prehistoric man who has been frozen in a block of ice for 40,000 years. The scientists are able to resuccitate the body and place the caveman (Lone) in an artificial, simulated environment for study. Shephard works to make contact with the man, and names him "Charlie". Shephard must fight to protect the caveman from dissection and media scrutiny.

Charlie manages to escape after seeing an overhead helicopter as the god for which he sought. He is obviously terrified by the unknown world in which he awakens, which we all take for granted.
