Il Mostro (1994) is an Italian comedy by Roberto Benigni An ingenious comical story about how an everyday joker played by Benigni gets mistaken by police profilers for a sexualy deviant serial killer due to odd circumstance.

Synopsis

A sexualy deviant serial killer rapes his victims and later kills them. The principal suspected is the character played by Roberto Benigni. The police send the policewoman played by Nicoletta Braschi by him to see if he is or he isn't the serial killer. So the policewoman and the character played by Roberto Benigni became friends. At the end the serial killer's identity is discovered: he is the teacher of chinese of the character played by Roberto Benigni
