| It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown is one of many prime-time animated TV specials based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the CBS network in 1969. The Peanuts gang all go to summer camp, where they must put up with poor food and with the girls' half of the camp winning all the sports competitions. To get even, the boys challenge them to a wrist-wrestling contest between Lucy and "The Masked Marvel" - Snoopy in disguise.
