Jack Moran (also known as Jackie Moran), January 26th, 1925 first attracted attention through the fine quality of his voice while singing in a church choir. Later, his mother was persuaded by Mary Pickford to take him to Hollywood for a screen test. He has since appeared with great success in numerous films including Fire Fighter, Mother Carey's Chicken, Gone With The Wind, Mad About Music; The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Becoming a screen writer for B movies in the 50s, Jack also fronted a band in Hollywood as a drummer (several of his bandsmen went on to join Stan Kenton's orchestra). In the l960s Jack continued as a film writer, working extensively with Russ Meyer, notably on the films Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
, Good Morning and... Goodbye!
, Common Law Cabin
, and Wild Girls of the Naked West. He also played small roles in the latter two films. Jack moved to Greenfield Massachusetts in 1984,and wrote a novel, Six Step House. Jack died in Greendield in 1991, of lung cancer.As requested in his will, Jack's ashes were scattered on the backstretch of the horse racing track in Dell Mar, California .
