| K. Bhagyaraja is a film director, screenwriter, and actor in the Tamil film industry, Kollywood. Bhagyaraja directed a number of films with themes focused on the contemporary social subjects. His style of movie making made him legendary in the 1980s and spawned a number of other directors who followed in his foot steps. He is known for a unique sense of humor and strong screen play. Some of his memorable movies are Chinna Veedu ("concubine" in English) and Aandha Ellu Natgal ("Those seven days"). Bhagyaraja is now involved in magazine publishing and politics.
