Kamen Rider Faiz (Japanese 仮面ライダー555, Masked Rider 555, Masked Rider Faiz, Masked Rider Φ's) is a Japanese tokusatsu televison series. It is the 12th intallment in the famous Kamen Rider series

Rider Gears

TV Show

  • SB-555 - Faiz Gear
    (Φ); Main wearer: Takumi Inui.
  • SB-913 - Kaixa Gear
    (χ); Main wearer: Masato Kusaka.
  • SB-333 - Delta Gear
    (Δ); Main wearer: Shuji Mihara.
Hanagata, the father of the Ryusei Juku and former chief of Smart Brain, attempted to create a new type of Rider Gear, using two lost miners to test it out. Unfortunately, all three prototypes turned out to be failures, unable to produce a Rider armor and killing whomever had longtime exposure to wearing one.

The Emperor Belts (Paradise Lost)

The movie adaption Paradise Lost introduced two additional sets of Rider Gears though the Delta Gear did not feature:
  • SB-315 - Psyga Gear
(Ψ); Wearer: Leo (played by Taiwanese actor Peter Ho (何潤東)).
  • SB-000 - Orga Gear
    (Ω); Wearer: Yuji Kiba.

Riot Trooper Army

The shows also featured a series of mass-produced henshin gear called Smart Buckle, which enabled the wearer to transform into a Riot Trooper. In the TV series, there's only six of them; the movie Paradise Lost presents an army of Riotroopers, each one of them with their own Gyro Attacker motorcycle. Their weapon is called Axel Ray Gun, which has a gun and sword mode. In Paradise Lost, in civilian form they resembled a military force, in the TV series they were similar to the Men in Black agents; Kaido Naoya briefly became part of the Riot Troopers after Yuji appointed him to the group, but left after Yuji demanded that Mari, Faiz, and the others were ordered to be killed. In both the movie and TV series, the army was vanquished by Faiz Accel. In the movie, they are destroyed by a barrage of Crimson Smashers and in the series, they were obliterated by multiple Faiz Slashes.

Story Overview

The Smart Brain Corporation, the world's most powerful corporation, is trying to take over the world using Orphenochs (the next stage in human evolution) to covertly kill off the world's human population. In their pursuits, they develop various high tech equipment; among them, three suits of power armour, called the Rider Gears (Delta
, Faiz
, and Kaixa
). The Rider Gears were developed to find and protect the Orphenoch
King, who could fix the genetic defect within the Orphenochs that causes their genetic structure to break down, resulting in their death.

The Rider Gears are stolen by Hanagata (Goat Orphenoch
and former President of Smart Brain Corporation), who sends them to his "children", the Ryuseiji, so they can stop the Orphenoch
s from achieving their goal. Unfortunately, the Rider Gears were designed to be worn by Orphenoch
s, and humans are unable to wear them without undergoing modification.

A young loner, Inui Takumi, gets unwillingly drawn into the war between the Orphenoch
s and humans; becoming Kamen Rider Faiz
, to save the life of Sonada Mari (one of the Ryuseiji). The Smart Brain Corporation begins targeting him in an attempt to retrieve the Faiz Gear
.
