| The trademark stare of Stanley Kubrick's films, with the head tilted down and the eyes staring penetratingly from behind the eyebrow line, is sometimes known as a Kubrick stare. The perhaps most distinctive example is in the very beginning of A Clockwork Orange, when the main character Alex is sitting with his 'droogs' in the Korova milkbar, giving the viewer the menacing stare.
