| Laura Lansing Slept Here is a made-for-television movie released in 1988, starring Katharine Hepburn as the title character, Joel Higgins, Karen Austin and Hepburn's grand-niece Schuyler Grant. It was written by James Prideaux and directed by George Schaefer. Hepburn plays a famous, pampered novelist who accepts a bet suggesting that she can't survive one week of living with an average family. She moves into a middle class family's home, where she micromanages family members' private lives. One New York Times reviewer noted that Hepburn essentially "played herself" in this movie, and that "it's to Katharine Hepburn's credit that she was able to make so much out of so little."
