| Longshot (1999) was a teen film, directed by Lou Pearlman, yet it was not shown in theaters; however, it was released as a video and DVD only available through the film's web site. Many bubblegum pop artists, such as O-Town, Britney Spears and *NSYNC, were featured as cameos in the film. Lou Pearlman was formerly affiliated with these and many other pop artists during the late 1990s and 2000. Recently, Longshot has been aired on a few television channels such as ABC Family. Summary: Alex Taylor and his older brother Jack live in L.A. where Jack is a personal fitness trainer who had an affair with Mitsy Price, a very powerful business man's wife. Her husband Vincent Price, then blackmails Jack into going to New York City to get information from Rachel Montgomery whose husband has just died about who they are selling her company to. He brings Alex with him to make sure that he will be safe. In the process, Jack and Rachel fall in love while Alex falls in love Rachel's daughter, Kelly. Finally Jack tells her why he was sent to New York, and the two work together bring Vincent Price down. Rachel needs to have two million dollars in order to not sell her husband's company. In the end, Alex is at a basketball game, and at halftime, he is chosen to try to make a half-court shot for a prize of three million dollars. He makes the shot, and he uses the money to help Rachel and Kelly. They provide information about Vincent Price to the police and he is arrested. As with most cheesy teen movies, the bad guy goes to jail, and all the good characters live happily ever after.
