| Madame Rosa (1977) is a French film directed by Moshé Mizrahi and produced by Daniel Pomerantz. It stars Simone Signoret as Madame Rosa, a retired Jewish prostitute and an Auschwitz survivor. The story of the film was adapted from a novel La Vie devant soi written by Romain Gary under the pseudonym Émile Ajar. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film of 1977.
