In the Japanese tokusatsu production Kamen Rider Hibiki (仮面ライダー響鬼), Makamo (魔化魍) refers to an assortment of monstrous creatures that usually dwelled in the rural areas and consumed human beings as food. In contrast to the humanoid adversaries in other Kamen Rider series, Makamo were usually gigantic monsters of the kaiju genre whose designs were based on mythical creatures from Japanese folklores. The Dohji (童子), the one resembling a youth male in appearance, bears a female voice, whereas the Hime (姫), the one resembling a youth female in appearance, bears a male voice. All Dohji look identical to each others, and so do the Hime. They can transform into Kwai-dohji (怪童子) and Yo-hime (妖姫) respectively to enhance their fighting abilities.meaning of the namingThese naming has a meaning and they relate to a myth and folklore of Japan.
CriticismThe tokusatsu fandom all agree that these were the weakest of all kaijin in the Kamen Rider series as they were defeated quite easily by the riders. The daikaiju were also defeated with relative ease. It wasn't until later in the series that makamou became stronger and harder to kill. Unfortunately, they too were defeated relatively easily as well.ja:仮面ライダー響鬼 Category:Kamen Rider [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Makamo ] Some related entries: Jennifer | List of Contributor Appearances on ''The Daily Show'' | By the Light of the Silvery Moon | Trek Nation | This Film Is Not Yet Rated | Over the Top | PCU | Slow Burn | Letter from an Unknown Woman | Better Than Chocolate | Paragraph 175 This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Makamo; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
