Mary Mazzio is an American award-winning documentary filmmaker, attorney, and olympic athlete in crew who participated in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Mazzio received her B.A. in philosophy and political science from Mount Holyoke College in 1983 and J.D. from Georgetown University in 1987. She is a former attorney and law partner for Brown, Rudnick, Freed, and Gesmer and is also the recipient of numerous awards including the Gracie Award, a Women's Sports Foundation Journalism Award, the Myra Sadker award, a Henry Luce Foundation Fellowship (Korea), and a Rotary Foundation Graduate Fellowship (France).

Mazzio is currently the president and founder of the independent film company 50 Eggs Inc. Her award-winning and critically acclaimed 1999 film, A Hero for Daisy, is about Olympian Chris Ernst, who (in 1976) led her Yale University rowing team in a protest which ultimately enhanced athletic opportunities for women. This film, called "a landmark film" by The New York Times, aired nationwide on ESPN, Oxygen, and WTSN (Canada), was invited to screen at The Smithsonian, and is in thousands of classrooms across the nation. Mazzio followed up this film with Apple Pie in 2002 which aired on ESPN, to tremendous press and attention. She recently produced the award-winning Lemonade Stories which was the subject of a USA Today cover story and is being shown throughout the world on television and in classrooms, board rooms, business schools, and consulting firms.
