Mindhunters is a 2004 crime thriller, directed by Renny Harlin and written by Wayne Kramer. Unusually, the last country to receive this film was the United States in 2005, due to the film changing hands from 20th Century Fox to Dimension Films.

The plot has striking similarities to Agatha Christie's novel And Then There Were None.

Plot

The Mindhunters are a group of young FBI students who are trying to get inside the mind of a sociopath. The group includes the mister fix it, Bobby. The wheelchair bound, Vince. The hot cigarrette riden Nicole. The unconfident Sara. The observer, Gabe. The coffee Junkie, Rafe. The fearless, but not really, Lucas. And the leader of the group JD. The group was brought to the island for a simulation by Jake Harris.

But when they get to the island, Sara finds a trap and JD is killed, taking leadership to a trap. Nicole reassures everyone that JD's death wasn'tan accident. But when they head for the boat, it blows up. Vince threatens everyone with his gun (which he wasn't really supposed to bring)The group searches the island for the killer, but has no luck. Lucas soon finds maps of the island in Gabes bedroom, and everyone puts blame on Gabe. But when coffee Rafe makes them pass out, blame isn't put on Gabe anymore... not until everyone wakes up to find Rafe was dead. Nicole finds two more watches, indicating two more victims. The only question is who and where. Then Vince and Gabe are caught a trap, but Gabe saves Vince and Gabe's alibi is ridden from Vince. But then they find that the two watches did not indicate two victims, but two traps. And Bobby is killed. By 3 harpoons, shot at him out of a water valve, when he goes to turn it off.

The five remaining use blood samples to see who is the killer. The samples testify that it is Sara. Nicole doesn't know if it is Sara or not. Sara says she's not the killer. But when Nicole is dying for a cigarrette, she and the others find that Nicole is the next victim to a trap. Sara figure out that the traps where cleverly thought out and well planned for each victim. Vince hides without his wheelchair.

He is soon killed unsuspectingly. Meanwhile, Sara, Gabe and Lucas find Harris and the two security guards next to him, all dead. Gabe shoots Lucas as Sara figures Gabe is the killer. But Lucas comes back and knocks out Gabe.

Sara explains to Lucas that she used her mind and remembered what Harris always told her. She set a trap for the killer. Sara soon finds her theory wrong and it is Lucas who is the killer.

He killed for infamy. He tries to drown Sara, but his plan backfires. Soon, Sara shoots Lucas in the neck and in the head. Gabe is back alive and they get help the next day. The horror was all over and Sara was made profiler.

Deaths

1. JD- Frozen by nitrogen gas, broken into pieces.
2. Rafe- Found decapitated with blood drained out after drinking laced coffee
3. Bobby- Arrows to neck and chest
4. Nicole- Smokes an acid-laced cigarette, burned by acid in lungs, neck and face
5. Vince- Killed when his gun backfired due to loading it with a magazine that contained larger-caliber ammunition.
6. Harris- Stabbed repeatedly, strung up like a puppet.
7. Security Guard#1- Stabbed
8. Security Guard#2- Stabbed
9. Lucas- Shot in shoulder and his head.
