Mio in the Land of Faraway (Swedish title: 'Mio min Mio) is a 1987 film produced in cooperation with companies from Sweden, Norway, and the Soviet Union. Directed by Vladimir Grammatikov based on the novel Mio, my Mio.

Plot

Bosse (Nick Pickard) is a poor and lonely boy and he is taken from his boring life to Mio, a magical land where his real father is the king. In this kingdom Bosse and his new friend Jun-Jun (Christian Bale) try to defeat Knight Kato (Christopher Lee) and set free the captivated children.
