| Murder in Mississippi was a 1990 television movie which dramatised the last weeks of Civil Rights activist Michael "Mickey" Schwerner, and the events leading up to his disappearance (along with two other activists) and subsequent murder. It starred Tom Hulce as Schwerner, Jennifer Grey as his (widowed) wife Rita, and Blair Underwood and Josh Charles as activists James Chaney and Andrew Goodman. As a historical docudrama, Murder in Mississippi precedes the storylines of both 1975's Attack on Terror: The FBI vs. the Ku Klux Klan and 1988's Mississippi Burning.
