| My Best Friend's Birthday (1987) is an unfinished black and white student film by Craig Hamann and Quentin Tarantino, shot during their youth days while working at the Manhattan Beach Video Archives in Los Angeles. The original cut was about 70 mins long but due to a fire only 34 minutes of the film survived. The 34 minute cut has been shown at several film festivals. It has never been officially released. The film was remade as True Romance in 1993, with Tony Scott directing the film.
