My Geisha is an American film made in 1962 and directed by Jack Cardiff. It stars Yves Montand, Shirley MacLaine and Edward G. Robinson.PlotPaul Robaix (Montand), a famous director, wants to shoot a film in Japan inspired by Madama Butterfly. His wife, an actress named Lucy Dell (MacLaine), has been the leading lady in many of his films, but he doesn't want her to play this part because he thinks it's not right for her (she is of Irish descent and has blue eyes).
