| Nacho Libre is an upcoming film starring Jack Black directed by Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite fame. The movie is set within the world of lucha libre in Mexico. The script is by Jared Hess, Jerusha Hess and Mike White. The producers are Jack Black, David Klawans, Julia Pistor and Mike White. It is set for a June 2 2006 release by Paramount Pictures. In the movie, Jack Black plays a Mexican friar named Ignacio, or Nacho for short. He was raised in a monastery where he is now the cook. Nacho finds a way to earn money for the holy place by wrestling, even though it is strictly forbidden by the church elders. Naturally, Nacho isn't acting out of purely altruistic measures, as he wishes to help Sister Encarnación, a nun (Ana de la Reguera) who has recently arrived at the monastery. Main cast
