Neil Marshall (born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, on 25 May 1970) is a British film director. "Dog Soldiers", was Marshalls first standout film. Although not a huge success at the Boxoffice, the film attained a cult status and shows the directors flair for the horror genre. Marshalls biggest sussess to date is "The Descent" which follows an all female group of Potholers who get more than they bargain for when they enter an unexplored cave. The film stands out thanks to Marshalls clever camera direction and the scenes filmed on an infrared videocamera are especially effective. Both "Dog Soldiers" and "The Descent" are two of the most important British horror films of the last 10 years along with Danny Boyle's "28 Days Later".Filmography# Doomsday (2007) (announced) # The Descent (2005) # Dog Soldiers (2002) # Combat (1999)Marshall, Neil Marshall, Neil Marshall, Neil [ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for Neil Marshall ] Some related entries: Eklavya | Kill or Cure | 1891 in film | Experiments in the Revival of Organisms | Can't Help Singing | Thra | Magnaboss | Aladdin and the King of Thieves | Sasi Shanker | Broadway Melody of 1938 | Better Off Dead This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article Neil Marshall; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
