Nobody Knows (誰も知らない; Dare mo shiranai) is a 2004
Japanese film directed by Hirokazu Koreeda. The movie is based on a real 1988 event best known as the "Affair of the Four Abandoned Children of Nishi-Sugamo". The plot is about four children, each a child by a different father, being abandoned by their mother. They are then forced to survive in modern Japan on their own.
