| On the Air followed the antics of a television station in the 1950's as they tried to put on a live variety program called "The Lester Guy Show" with predictably disastrous results. On The Air (1992) was an ABC sitcom created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. In the USA only two episodes were aired, although seven were filmed; In the Netherlands all 7 were aired by VPRO. Directors included David Lynch, Mark Frost, Jack Fisk, Jonathan Sanger, Lesli Linka Glatter, and Betty Thomas. It starred Ian Buchanan, Nancye Ferguson, Miguel Ferrer, Gary Grossman, and Mel Johnson Jr.. According to the author of the book Bad TV, critic Craig Nelson, On The Air was the worst show in the history of television.
