Open Season is a computer-animated film planned to be produced by Sony Pictures Animation and directed by Roger Allers, Jill Culton and Anthony Stacchi. It will be released in September 2006 by Columbia Pictures. It features a role reversal, with woodland creatures that are traditionally hunted teaming up against hunters. According to , it is also expected for an IMAX 3D release.

Voice talents include Martin Lawrence as Boog, Ashton Kutcher as Elliot, Debra Messing as Park Ranger Beth, Gary Sinise as Shaw, Billy Connolly as Mcsquizzy, Jon Favreau as Reilly, Patrick Warburton as Ian, Jane Krakowski, Georgia Engle and Gordon Tootoosis.
