| Paul Weitz (born 1966 in New York, New York) is a film director and screenwriter. Growing up in New York City, he attended an elite all-boys private school, The Collegiate School. Then, he attended and graduated from Wesleyan University, where he wrote the play Mango Tea. The play went on to performances off-Broadway. Nowadays, he usually works with his brother Chris Weitz; the Weitz brothers are the sons of actress Susan Kohner. However, he wrote and directed his recent film, In Good Company, by himself. His other credits as a director include American Pie and About a Boy. His credits as a writer include Antz and the television show Cracking Up. Notable fashion designer John Weitz is Paul Weitz's father, and Paul Kohner and Lupita Tovar are his grandparents.
