Picking Up the Pieces is a 2000 film directed by Alfonso Arau and starring Woody Allen, who plays Tex, a butcher who kills his unfaithful wife, Candy played by Sharon Stone. After cutting up the body, Tex conceals the parts in the desert in New Mexico. Candy's hand resurfaces, and a blind woman accidentally trips over it; her sight is restored, and she proclaims the hand to be the "hand of the Virgin." Tex hears of this, and attempts to retrieve the hand without being caught.
