Movies - Pinewood Indians

The Pinewood Indians are a tribe of audio-animatronic American Indians from Anaheim, California. They can be seen on any of the three Disneyland water attractions (the Mark Twain riverboat, the Sailing Ship Columbia, and the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes) that circle the Rivers of America. The Pinewood Indians live in their own village in the northwest corner of the theme park, where they tend to their canoes, cook wild boar over an open fire, and tell tales. They are so named because, as the rivercraft guides say, they are made from real pinewood.

The first Pinewood one will enounter on the river cruise is the band's friendly leader, Chief Auto Parts. He sits atop brand new mustang, for which he recently traded in his old bronco. Only one Indian, a shaman, is audible from the rivercraft.
