Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is the second sequel to the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
. The film is also a sequel to 2006 film Dead Man's Chest
. The picture is currently slated for a 2007 release date. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski, with returning stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush, and Orlando Bloom. It also features Chow Yun-Fat as the film's central antagonist, Sao Feng.

Production

Parts of the film have been shot during the filming of Dead Man's Chest
, with some principal photography in April 2005. Production on Dead Man's Chest
will be complete in March 2006 after which post production work will be done on it. Filming on the third film will then continue after Summer 2006.

Title Rumour

The title of the film is currently unknown but the following have been rumors suggesting the title will be called World's End.
On December 8, 2005 another rumour went online stating the title for the film is Uncharted Waters.
A third rumor, which has been circulating ever since the announcement that Pirates would be expanded to a trilogy, and at different times has been appended to both films (the second one before the title was announced, and now the third one), is Treasures of the Lost Abyss. However, now that some of the plot details for the third movie have been released, this rumor is almost certainly not true.
