thriller film, directed by Clint Eastwood
, about a radio disc jockey who becomes the target of an obsessed female fan, played by Jessica Walter
. It was Clint Eastwood's directorial debut, and he also played the disc jockey. Donna Mills

. It is also notable for the use of location shooting in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, where Eastwood has long made his home. The film also features Roberta Flack's recording of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face."
