Prayer of the Rollerboys is a 1991 independent sci-fi/drama, starring Corey Haim and Patricia Arquette. Tagline: Better say your prayers, boy... they're coming.

Plot summary

Corey Haim plays Griffin in the the not so distant future of Los Angeles which is in a sad state, the city in economic decay and deep in crime and drug activity. A gang in the city which deals 'Rope' drugs gets involved with Griffin's little brother.

Corey Haim had to learn how to rollerblade for the movie, it later became a favorite hobby of his. In 2000 he stated " If I dont blade at least 2 hours a day I'm not a very nice guy to be around"
The film is based on actual gang of rollerbladers who rose to prominence in the late 80's in Santa Monica. They went by the name of the Blade Blasters and were reportedly responsible for several home invasions, robberies and at least one homicide. Soon after the films release the Blade Blasters disbanded. The title of the film is from the actual code of the Blade Blasters, it goes as follows:

"We wear these blades upon our feet to shake the cops and raise the heat Without our blades tonight We don't stand a chance in this fight Blade Blasters dont know wrong from right Shake this town and make some noise This is the Prayer of the Rollerboys" Frank Dux was rumored to be a founder of the Blade Blasters. (These claims were later proven to be false)

Several of the Blade Blasters went on to be stunt rollerbladers in the 1993 film Airborne
