Pretty Persuasion is a 2005 comedy / drama film directed by Marcos Siega and written by Skander Halim. It stars Evan Rachel Wood, James Woods and Ron Livingston amongst others.

It has been compared to 1989's Heathers
and 1999's Election
and even a darker Mean Girls
. It also was nominated for the 2005 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Festival.

Plot

Kimberly Joyce (Evan Rachel Wood) accuses her drama teacher (Ron Livingston) of sexual harassment when she is kicked out of a school play, and gets everyone - including her friends Brittany (Elisabeth Harnois) and Randa (Adi Schnall), her family and the media - involved in her seductive and manipulative ways.
