| Prey for Rock & Roll is a low-budget 2003 film based on a semi-autobiographical stage play by punk rocker Cheri Lovedog about an all-female punk band in Los Angeles. Gina Gershon stars as Jacki, a 40-year-old singer/songwriter who has begun to question whether her lifelong pursuit of a recording contract is worth continuing. The film is gritty, featuring drug use, lesbian sex, rape and foul language, but all in all, is an authentic and sobering look at the unglamorous side of rock and roll, and the lives of those who inhabit the lowest depths of the music business.
