Movies - Professor Norton Nimnul

Professor Norton Nimnul is a fictional character created by The Walt Disney Company for the animated series Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, and the comic book based off of it. He is a wacky mad scientist whose elaborate plans are often foiled by the Rescue Rangers (or as he calls them, "the rodents").

Nimnul made his appearance known in the series premiere serial "To the Rescue", where he was employed by criminal mastermind Aldren Klordane to construct a laser cannon with which to create a giant gelatin mold which Klordane would use to cause an earthquake under the United States Gold Reserve. The laser cannon, however, would only work if powered by the stolen Klutchcoin Ruby; as Klordane reminded him, without it, "your cannon is just a big, overgrown flashlight!"

Since then, Nimnul frequently appeared as an antagonist. Usually, his plans involved bank robberies or making slave labor out of animals by way of his inventions.

In Normie's Science Project, it was revealed that Nimnul has a nephew named Normie. This character was also featured in issue #13 of the comic book, albeit with a different appearance.

Nimnul's voice was provided by Jim Cummings
, who also voiced the show's other regular villain, Fat Cat.
