Quiet, Please! was a 1945 Tom and Jerry cartoon which won the 1945 Academy Award for Best Short Subject: Cartoons.PremiseTom's nemesis, the large dog (often called Spike, Killer or Butch) is trying to take a nap "a little beauty rest" and is constantly disturbed by Tom's progressively noisy attempts to catch Jerry. He has had enough and tells Tom that if he is disturbed once more he will skin him alive.
