Revival of Evangelion (Revival of Evangelion: Death(true)²/Air/まごころを、君に, Revival of Evangelion: Death(true)²/Air/Magokoro o, Kimi ni) is a concatenation of the Neon Genesis Evangelion movies Death(true)²
and The End of Evangelion
. It is considered the final form of the Evangelion movies, which were released in several forms prior to Revival.

Death(true)²

The first part, Death, was originally released as part of Evangelion: Death and Rebirth
which itself consisted of two parts. The first part, Death, consists of a 60-minute edit of the Neon Genesis Evangelion television show, including redone scenes and several new scenes. The version used in Revival, called Death(true)² is a re-editing of Death without the new scenes (which were added to the Director's Cut of the television series) and a few minor changes. The second half, Rebirth, consisted of the first part of The End of Evangelion, the second Evangelion movie.

Air/My Purest Heart for You

The second part of Revival, Air/My Purest Heart for You, consists of the movie The End of Evangelion
. The End of Evangelion is essentially a remake of the final two episodes of the television series and a reaction to the fan response.
