| Robert Hamer (b. 31 March 1911 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England, UK - 4 December 1963 London) was a British film director and screenwriter, best known for his work at Ealing Studios in the 1940s, including the celebrated comedy Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), with Dennis Price and Alec Guinness.
