RoboCop vs. The Terminator is a four-issue comic book crossover limited series written by Frank Miller that was published in 1992 by Dark Horse Comics. It was pencilled by Walt Simonson and inked by Steve Oliff, who also jointly illustrated the covers.

Utilising elements from both the RoboCop
and Terminator
universes, the comic book series puts its own spin on proceedings by having Skynet send back in time three Terminators to Detroit to protect RoboCop from being destroyed by a lone human soldier sent back by John Connor.

Eventually discovering that the technology used to build him is partly responsible for the future development of Skynet, RoboCop soon sets upon himself to take down Skynet in the post-apocalyptic future single-handedly.

Video game

RoboCop vs. The Terminator also spawned a number of video games released for the Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo Game Boy by Virgin Play. A side-scrolling action-adventure, the game, especially the Genesis edition, won praise for its high quality of graphics, sound, and playability. As was common with many games developed by Virgin software, the Sega Genesis edition of the game also featured numerous secret codes in the game, including one that increased the level of graphic violence and blood.

The game sets its premise on the idea that John Connor predicted it would be "a human mind that... turned Skynet from a tool into an army of Terminators", and RoboCop must travel back in time to prevent his existence from occurring and thus stop Skynet.
