Rockin' in the Rockies was a 1945 musical film starring the Three Stooges. It was the only feature film starring the Three Stooges produced by Columbia Pictures. While Moe Howard,
Curly Howard, and Larry Fine had made appearances as The Three Stooges in other features,
they had not previously starred in their own feature. The film, set in a resort in Colorado, is marred by the inclusion of gratuitous musical numbers, featuring the Western Swing orchestra of Spade Cooley.
It was not a success, and the Stooges returned to appearing in short films.Further reading
