| Room Service is a 1938 Marx Brothers comedy film in which they portray producers of a play, "Hail and Farewell." It is notable for being the only Marx Brothers film not written especially for them, instead being based on a stage play by Allen Boretz and John Murray. In truth, the material did not suit the brothers, and Room Service is generally regarded as their weakest film. Film critic Leslie Halliwell summed up most critical reaction to the film when he said, "the Marx Brothers were constrained by having to play characters with a passing resemblance to human beings". Its co-stars include Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, and Frank Albertson.
