| Savage/Noble is a dual identity character from the Beast Machines TV series. The toy of this character was released under the name Beast Changer. He is in fact the organic side of Megatron, who was separated from his technological side by the conflicting energies of the Key to Vector Sigma and the Plasma Energy Chamber. This left Megatron in a completely organic body with two beast forms, similar to those of Megatron's Mutants. While one was a gentle, humanoid wolf called Noble, the other was an insane mutant dragon named Savage. While inside Noble, Megatron manipulated the Maximals into helping him get into the Citadel. There, he used a Spark extractor to remove his Spark, and joined together with his giant head fortress. This left Noble a Sparkless animal, who seemed to have an attachment to Nightscream. This was proved when Noble sacrificed himself attempting to destroy Megatron, for which he was honored by the Maximals. This character was released as "Beast Changer" in the Beast Machines toyline, since the trademark to Savage/Noble was unavailable. A major item of debate among Transformers' fans revolves around Savage/Noble's wolf form and its connection to Megatron, since Megatron had never been shown with any sort of wolf-like beast mode (wheras the dragon mode had been seen several times prior to Savage/Noble's appearance. According to inside sources, the wolf form was originally supposed to come from Silverbolt, who writers intended to be a traitor to Megatron. The wolf portion of Silverbolt's Fuzor Beast Mode would've been absorbed into Megatron's dragon DNA during a final confrontation (which also explains why Silverbolt returned to the Maximals with an entirely-birdlike beast mode.
