Movies - School's Out: The Musical

School's Out: The Musical is a one-hour musical television special, based on Nickelodeon's animated television series The Fairly OddParents, created by Butch Hartman
. The plot involves Timmy Turner becoming president of KidWorld and The Pixies (guest star Ben Stein
) trying to take over the world using the clown-turned businessman, Flappy Bob. It has eleven musical numbers (an average of one every 3½ minutes) including the "Pixie Rap" featuring Method Man
and Redman
and Jim Ward and Susanne Blakeslee as Flappy Bob's parents.

The special began airing on June 10, 2005 in the United States, but has aired several times in the United Kingdom on BBC 1 and NickToons TV, Ireland on TnaG (TG4), Spain on Antena 3 and The Philippines on ABS-CBN. This is common for Nickelodeon in the United States, as they will frequently air first-run episodes in other countries before airing them in North America as a type of "test run" to scrutinize audience reaction to the programs. In addition, for certain programs there are contractual obligations which must be met that will not allow programs to air in the U.S. until specific dates.

Officially, in production order, the episode's divided into two "acts"--Act I (the first 22 minutes), and Act II (the last 22 minutes).

The story starts 37 years in the past where HP(Head Pixie) and Sanderson(HP's assistant) are driving along the road after the failure of a 37-year plan to take over Fairy World. Meanwhile, Flappy Bob's parents are about to get killed on the train when it falls off a cliff, so they set their son free by releasing him on a rocket- finding out only seconds later that the train isn't exactly going to fall off the cliff, and they blasted their son off for nothing. Meanwhile, the Pixies are up to no good again and use him for a 37 year plan. 37 years later Timmy and his pals are destroying Dimmsdale during the Summer holidays. They all end up in Flappy Bob's learn-a-torium, is this something to do with the Pixie's plot?

When the Pixies show up and tell Timmy how it's all the adults' fault, Timmy agrees and gets angry, wishing the world was ruled by kids. His wish is granted and, at first, Timmy loves this new wish. But Cosmo and Wanda don't think so- they're stuck with all the chores! The Pixies then show up at Fairy World to tell Jorgen about a loophole in Da Rules, that allows them to be Flappy Bob's Godparents, and tell them that all the kids are happy and don't really need the fairies anymore, now that they rule the Earth. They trick Flappy into signing a contract that allows Flappy to change the world in what he believes is fun- everything all school-oriented, much like his old Learn-A-Torium- and Pixies get to rule Fairy World. Turning it into Pixies, Inc., Jorgen has no choice but to "pull back the fairies", bringing them back to what used to be Fairy World, the Earth now empty of fairies and anything fun.
