Movies - Sci Fi Channel

: See Sci-Fi Channel for a list of other Sci Fi channels.

Sci Fi is an American cable television channel, launched in 1992 and currently owned by corporate conglomerate NBC Universal, specializing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and paranormal programming. There are a growing number of cable viewers who feel that, outside of special event programming and series like Battlestar Galactica
, the channel has lost focus from the genre it is named and has increasingly added shows and movies (Braveheart
has been shown on SCI FI in the past and the NBC soap opera Passions is currently shown) whose links to the science-fiction genre are tenuous at best.
