Movies - Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders

Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders is a 2000 Scooby-Doo direct-to-video film. It is the third Scooby-Doo direct to video feature, following Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
and Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost
. The story deals with space aliens.

Plot

The story began off when the Mystery Machine gets run-off the road by a UFO. They end up in a weird town inhabited by a nervous cook, a crazy waiter, a landscape artist who believes in the UFOs, a nasty mechanic, a friendly SALF (Search for Alien Life-Forms) communication team, and two bulldog-like military police officers. After a kidnapping by some nasty aliens, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are discovered in the desert by Crystal, a hippie-chick photographer and her dog, Amber. Naturally they fall in love...

In the course of the movie, it's revealed the nasty "aliens" are the three members of the SALF communication team who had found gold under the SALF station. It turns out Crystal and Amber were genuine (but benevolent) aliens--and the UFO that ran them of the road was Crystal's ride home. The nasty mechanic is really a friendly one who is doing a hobby - leaf-pressing - and using his nasty route to avoid getting used. Having lost the loves of their lives, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are down in the dumps - until Velma shows them a box of Scooby-Snacks.
