| Sidney Hickox (July 15, 1895 - May 16, 1982) was a film cinematographer. New York City-born Hickox started his film career at the age of 20 as an assistant camera man and quickly became a full-time director of photography. He worked for First National Pictures which was absorbed by Warner Bros. and he remained there, working on hundreds of films, until his retirement in 1955. Hickox films include To Have and Have Not (1944), The Big Sleep (1946), White Heat (1959) and the horror film Them! (1954).
