Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 is the 1987 sequel to the 1984 slasher movie Silent Night, Deadly Night.This movie stars Eric Freeman (actor), Elizabeth Kaitan (credited as Elizabeth Cayton), and James Newman.

In the sequel, Billy's 18-year-old brother Ricky (Eric Freeman) is being held in a mental hospital while awaiting trial for a series of murders he committed. The story is told through several flashbacks during Ricky's sessions with his doctor. More than 40 minutes of footage from the original Silent Night, Deadly Night is used for these flashbacks.

This film met with almost universally negative reviews due to its' excessive use of flashbacks (which threaten to become the film itself), baffling continuity errors with the previous film, and terrible acting from lead Eric Freeman. Nevertheless, many slasher fans still enjoy the movie for "so bad it's good" entertainment.

An interesting note is during the scene in which Ricky goes on a rampage in the suburbs with a gun. When Ricky fires his gun at an oncoming car, the car flips over and barely misses the stuntman by 3 inches.

Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 is available on the DVD Double Gift Pack from Anchor Bay along with the original Silent Night, Deadly Night.
