Sly Sludge is a character from the animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers and The New Adventures of Captain Planet.

He has a passon from polluting the word with garbage and hates recycling. He also loves to take advantage of naive people. Short and fat with a long mullet, he was non-threatening in appearance but was dangerous in his methods. He was voiced by Martin Sheen in the DiC episodes and by Jim Cummings in the Hanna Barbera episodes.

In later episodes, he eventually showed he was more interested in money than in pollution, and even attempted one legitimate garbage solution- a shrink ray. Though still evil, he shrunk the Planeteers. However, the shrink ray was defective and anything shrunk would return to its normal size in a few hours, leaving him buried under a mountain of garbage, and with a one million dollar bill of sale from Dr. Blight for the shrink ray.
