| Soldier of Orange (original title in Dutch: Soldaat van Oranje) is a 1977 Dutch film directed by Paul Verhoeven and produced by Rob Houwer, starring Rutger Hauer and Jeroen Krabbé. It is set during the occupation of The Netherlands during World War II, and it is based on the book by Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema, who lived the story himself. The film received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film in 1980.
